Modern and classic, odd pockets
6'3" 170-175 purchased medium
Fit is great - snug, but won't prevent layering as needed.
That's on me: Slim athletic build - wider shoulders and chest with narrower waist, but starting to add some fluff in the middle as I reach past midlife.
This coat holds a flattering form very well, is fantastically comfortable and warm, and feels lighter weight than I expected. Temperature regulation is also excellent. With flannel-lined pants I'm ready for a mid 40s high-winds nighttime dog walk of any duration with just a thick shirt and long sleeve T... when I remember gloves. I'm sure it's good for much colder, but we don't get that here.
Now, the pockets. These are an oddity to me - sewn in with a twisted string tethering the fingertip portion to the interior of the jacket where there's some leather. This string serves to hold the pocket material somewhat in place. First though: that string will be an early casualty of normal wear.
Maybe I'll be wrong about that.
Expect to love this coat for a very long time - even if it comes to pass that I eventually need to remedy a broken pocket string.
