In a nutshell - I love it! I am almost 6' tall - more torso than legs. I originally purchased a size 44 thinking that the added size would allow for a sweater or bulky clothing. When I tried it on, I was swimming in it. I bought a size 42 afterwards and that was just perfect! The bottom of the jacket sits about an inch below my hip joint. The size 42 arms come to about my first thumb joint. I like the sleeves long so that's OK by me.
For some reason, it seems to me that Overland doesn't describe the inside of the jacket very well. So let me tell you! The entire inside jacket is lined with a very soft, medium length shearling lining to die for. It's completely sewn in - even at the bottom. It's still summer here but I know this jacket will keep me warm in the cold months. The left hand side has a vertical slit pocket with a leather tab snap that would easily fit my breast pocket wallet. The right hand side has a horizontal slit pocket that would be good for keys, etc.
The sleeves at the wrist have a snap tab with two positions. The main closure has a zipper and 4 snaps. I think I would use the zipper almost all the time. You can snap up the collar if you want. the jacket looks good and feels good and, even better, my fiance likes it! It's not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. You might want to leave you name and address in the inside pocket incase you ever leave it somewhere. You'll want it back!
