I see this cost comes in 46 and 46 short, what exactly is the difference?

Answer:

The sleeves and body of the short will be 2" shorter than the regular.

What is the outer quilt layer made of?

Answer:

This is a double faced sheepskin. The hide and the fur have not been separated. The outside of this coat is the softened hide.

I am debating between this coat and one of your other coats, but I like this one, except I'm concerned about the zipper. So many comments about zipper issues. Did you guys fix the problem or have any suggestions about the zipper?

what is the liner made of, wool?

Answer:

The inside of this coat is the shorn shearling. The hide and wool of the sheep have never been separated making this a very warm coat!

Hayes Quilted Sheepskin Coat

I purchased the Black Hayes and it's high quality leather and beautiful! I have several leather jackets but none are quilted so it's really unique. There are lots of reviews on the zipper not working correctly, but the main issue is the zipper is full length so it's below your waist and the fur gets in the way making it harder to get started! The length also makes it tougher because you're reaching further as well. Once you finally line it up and get it started then it zips fine. It's a double zipper, so you can unzip the bottom making it easier to sit down. If the zipper was shorter, like just to the waist, then it would be easier to zip and feel more comfortable when it's zipped. Ill probably just use the buttons most of the time anyways The Hayes overall is beautiful and unique with the quilted patterns which are subtle on the black.

Great quality, warm and certainly a good looking product. Always receiving compliments when I wear it. The first one I ordered was a little big. Customer service was great exchanging for one that fit perfectly.

Best Winter Purchase I Made

I could not be happier with the purchase of this coat! The quality, feel and color are outstanding. The coat is luxurious and warm. DO NOT be dissuaded by the zipper as it works perfectly. Some folks might not be used to a double-zipper, but it is handy because it allows you to zip the coat and then open it at the bottom for more room when you're sitting. It takes 5 seconds longer to zip it and it's worth the effort. Overland has excellent customer service and ordering and delivery were flawless.

Gorgeous coat. Stand-out look.

This is a beautiful coat. It compliments my shoulders well and it stands out wherever I wear it. It's easily dressed up or dressed down. It's very warm. Buttoning the coat up is easy, but the zipper is a bit of a pain to work with. Small price to pay for a coat of this quality.

Great...but

It is a super nice coat. Very warm, it will be good for Michigan winter but not too hot that you can't wear it. I will agree the zipper can definitely be improved upon. It is usable but finicky. I also think the pockets are too small. You can just fit a wallet. Wallet and keys are too much for one pocket.
