Hayes Quilted Sheepskin Coat

Exceptional quality materials, craftsmanship in tailoring, details and functionality in design. The coat has an elegant, heirloom quality that exudes distinctive taste and sophistication. My 38S size fits like it is tailored made for me (39" chest, 145 lbs, 31 waist, 5ft 6in. tall). The leather skin is supple and soft with shearling just thick enough not to appear puffy or bulky. It's just a perfect execution of discerning craftsmanship. This is my first Overland sheepskin coat and it has made me a big fan and most likely a loyal customer for years to come.

I've had this coat for about two months now and already two buttons have fallen off. When the first one fell off I brought it in to be repaired and requested that they ensure that all the buttons are secure. Today, less than two weeks later, another one fell off. Overland production quality just doesn't justify the price.

The coat is very warm and soft. Coat still very hard to zipper though.

I am 5'9" and 180 lbs, and I typically wear a size 40. I ordered the Hayes in 38R and 40R to try on for fit. Because I live in a more mild weather in Washington state, I don't expect to layer too much. The 38 was perfect with a t-shirt or dress shirt, and a sleek vest can be added for a layered look. It gives what Tom Ford calls "a gentle hug" and it fits me well. It is super warm. 40 would have worked fine if I were to layer more (e.g., a wool sweater), but it would look too bulky on me and alter the design profile of the Hayes. I also find the sleeves on the 40 too long for me personally that made me look like a child. My personal sleeve size is about 33", and the 38 Hayes sleeves are just a tad longer than what I would have liked (by about 0.5"). Nevertheless, as an outer coat, the slightly longer sleeves are acceptable and are not detrimental in the style department. I ordered the blue one, which gives me more versatility in dressing up or down. My 38 Hayes checks all the boxes in fit, function, and fabric. Very happy with this purchase, and am looking forward to travel to cold places.

Very high end quality that looks and feels great. People definitely check it out when worn. I'm confident it will get even better with age. Highly recommend.

I wasn't aware of the Overland brand before this purchase, but I was looking for an extremely warm and stylish coat to brave walking around New York in December. When this arrived, at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it and I even debated returning it for a moment because I wasn't sure it was "me." I stuck with it, however, and took it to my trip to New York anyway. Now, I'm so grateful I did. I absolutely love this coat. It's worth the investment, I get compliments on it every time I wear it -- and I feel UPSCALE when I have it on. The negative reviews about the zipper situation are true, I must confess. Overland needs to improve this design; it's a beast to zip. But I'm getting the knack of it the more I wear it, and the style, quality and warmth outweigh this relatively minor frustration. This was an expensive purchase for me, but I would absolutely buy it again and I'm so happy I took the leap. I plan to wear it for many winters to come.

This is my first sheepskin. I usually buy leather. This is much nicer. Actually much nicer in hand than the pictures. Soo looking forward to the cold weather

I purchased the Black Hayes and it's high quality leather and beautiful! I have several leather jackets but none are quilted so it's really unique. There are lots of reviews on the zipper not working correctly, but the main issue is the zipper is full length so it's below your waist and the fur gets in the way making it harder to get started! The length also makes it tougher because you're reaching further as well. Once you finally line it up and get it started then it zips fine. It's a double zipper, so you can unzip the bottom making it easier to sit down. If the zipper was shorter, like just to the waist, then it would be easier to zip and feel more comfortable when it's zipped. Ill probably just use the buttons most of the time anyways The Hayes overall is beautiful and unique with the quilted patterns which are subtle on the black.

Great quality, warm and certainly a good looking product. Always receiving compliments when I wear it. The first one I ordered was a little big. Customer service was great exchanging for one that fit perfectly.
