The Aussie maintains a UPF value of 50+ and features a shade-making brim, a 1" hatband, and a leather chin cord designed for a secure fit or to be tied out of the way around the back of the brim. It’s packable, crushable, and always keeps its impeccable shape.

The Aussie Mesh Breezer is packable, crushable, and always holds its fine shape. This hat can be worn by man or woman. To crush it, you can fold the brim up and then roll it up.

Great hat

Half way through this very hot summer where I am outside most of the time I needed more sun protection then a ball cap. Found this hat and ordered it. I have a big head (dimensionally) and ordered the XLarge which I felt may still be too small. Fits great! is comfortable and very light, forget its on. Good sun protection and I think it looks good too, does not feel like it will blow off easily. Thought the color might be a bit dark and hot but is not, plus a lighter colored one, I would have it looking dirty in know time.

It doesn't float

The breeze was blowing through my hair via the mesh hat band and the salty sea air sprayed my cheeks on a perfect morning on the ocean. My face was well protected from the sun, and my eyes were shaded thanks to the wide brim. The day was serene, until a massive wave took the front of the kayak where my young son was sitting and caused us to tumble beneath the water. Unfortunately for my hat, it came as second priority to scooping my son out of the water, and the strap which was snugly fitted to my chin did not withstand the force of the wave. Once I got my bearings, I was devastated to learn that the buttery, superbly stitched leather of the hat does not allow it to float. I can only hope that it washes ashore soon for someone else to enjoy as I only had the pleasure of wearing it for two days.

Provides the shade

I love it. Fits snug. It gets windy here. The rim could be an inch longer. The look would be good.

Great quality, I love it!

I give the quality 5 stars, it's a great hat! The reason I marked the overall 4 stars was because I wear a size 7 & was sent a 7 1/8 size that made it to big. I had to use a hat kit to make it fit. The hat comes with a cheap leather cord for a chin strap, I changed it for a piece of para cord that made it seem much more classy! Other than that overland "thank you" for a great product!!! In the future, if I need to order another one, I would but in a smaller size. The shipping was fast, customer service was excellent!

Excellent summer hat

I'm outside 10+ hrs per day. I'm often in wind of 10-20 mph and this gat performs very well. It is light and breathes well. The brim is stiff enough not to flop over or flap in wind but soft enough to bend and mould to fit my head shape. The chin strap is very useful in the wind but can be secured on back of hat when you don't need it. Only had this hat for a week but it seems very well made and I expect it to last a long time. Very happy with this purchase.

I would buy this again

Although I haven't traveled with the hat yet it is indeed crushable, which is why I bought it. It is a little big and I'm thinking of a way to make the fit better, but better a little bigger than too small! All in all I really like the hat.
