I needed to replace my 100% wool everyday coat that was 15 years old. I expect to wear a coat for several years so I look for classic designs and good quality fabric. This has both. It is beautiful and I feel very elegant in it. I use it for everyday, but it feels like a special use coat (I have never had a coat with fur on it). It is quite long...I am 5'5" and it comes to my ankles. I do have to hold it up getting in and out of cars so it won't drag in the slush. It is 'lightweight' in that it weighs less than my full length wool coat, but so far it is just as warm. I was afraid it was too light and wouldn't be warm enough, but I have not found that to be true. It is loose enough in the arms to fit over a suit jacket but does not look sloppy over just a sweater. I have had it about 4 weeks and it has been able to handle central IL winter weather so far. I am very very happy with it!
