Upon first sliding my hands across the exterior leather I went into sensory overload. Anybody who examines this coat by touch will be awestricken. The exquisitely soft yet substantial/tough feel of the Kildare goatskin, by far, exceeded the impressions of the many other leather garments I have had physical contact with. Further, the attention to detail is excellent.
I would advise anybody who is serious about this coat to, for sure, try it on. The Jack Frosts I tried on were too short; so for a few hundred more they added 4" to the length and dialed in the other important measurements. Now I have a coat that fits like a dream. In my opinion the person(s) who designed this coat didn't just hit a homerun------that person hit a grand slam!

Coat was beautiful, well made and durable. I returned it as the lining makes the interior tighter, so that coat was not true to it's size. Wish they offered this coat in a long and it would be perfect. But Overland is the best with returns so never worry there, just order the size big enough.

I searched the web for a shearling coat, and could not find what I was looking for. Then I checked the label of a high quality western style coat that I have enjoyed for years, and it is an Overland. I just received the coat this week, and given the cost, I was concerned about whether it would be of the quality and "fit" that I wanted. The quality is impressive and the fit is perfect. Best of all, my wife thinks it is great. That is strong approval from a spouse that knows the price. This coat has everything I have been looking for.

I wanted a stylish shearling that had pockets for my wallet, phone, etc, but I didn't want pockets that "flapped about" on a typical shearling. This coat has two layers and the pockets are between the two layers which keeps things looking nice and looking organized. I like the coat very much.
