Women's Born Aleksi Leather Boots with Shearling Lining

I was looking for an extremely comfortable, very warm, versatile and durable boot. I read the reviews and I also have slightly larger calves due to exercise so even though ordered from overseas I felt confident this would work. The customer service advised on size (a little extra room due to the lining). And, they are awesome. The only thing a little unusual is the zip at the heel and the back of the leg. It feels a little strange because you are aware of it inside the boot at the back of your heel l but I plan to wear thin socks so this wont be an issue. The quality is better than I expected, very comfortable, and well made. I expect these will last for years.

I looked at these for a long time before buying. One reviewer said they were loose around the top, and that made me decide to try them, as I am blessed with muscular calves. They fit perfectly, and did not require "breaking in" as another pair of fleece lined boots I have. I highly recommend these boots to anyone desiring warm comfortable boots for cold weather.

The product description is not correct. It says that the shaft circumference is 14 1/4 and that is NOT correct. It is actually 16 3/8 according to the BORN site. They are big and do not fit those of us with thinner legs. This is misleading!
