I've been looking at shearling coats for awhile and was so relieved to find Overland! I've visited Overland stores in Denver and Yountville and Overland has terrific products and fantastic customer service. Their website is also first class. I special ordered the Jack Frost coat in black since I'm 5'6" tall and 148lbs with broad shoulders. It was a custom fit 38 size with shortened sleeves and length. It arrived within one month and it fits likes a glove! Unsurpassed quality construction, choice leather, and classic style. I love the heavier weight of the jacket and the shearling is warm and classy. The goat skin leather is the same leather used on those classic flight jackets. Whether for work or to the ball game, this coat is perfect for those cold San Francisco mornings and evenings. I tried on several different coats at the Overland Store in Yountville and found this to be just what I was looking for as my Winter and Autumn coat. I also travel quite a bit for work to the East Coast and will use this in place of my sports coat. Bravo Overland! I will be ordering a lambskin coat next for the summer time!

I initially ordered a 42 as I wear either a 42 or 43 in a suit jacket. The 42 was too snug when over a sweater so I exchanged it for a 44 and that gave me a more comfortable fit.

The coat is great looking and definitely warm.

The one thing about the coat that is disappointing is the size of the pockets which barely can hold a glove. I found myself constantly jamming my gloves into the pockets...unfortunately I've lost one glove already.

After a long (more than a year) search for a high quality leather coat I finally found Overland. I was like a kid in a candy store! Not only did the Jack Frost fit very well with room to move but it is comfortably warm in temperatures from below zero to the mid-forties. Nicely constructed with a heavy-duty zipper and tight stitching. The goatskin is very supple which makes the coat feel instantly "broken-in".

I have been looking at this coat for a long time. I finally gave in and made the call. When I put it on the first time, it felt like saying hi to an old friend. It's nice to have spent the money for something that actually exceeded my expectations. That's a rare thing these days.

I looked at this coat for 2 years. And looked everywhere else in between.
After checking out hundreds of coats in person and online, I decided to take
the plunge. Was still a little hesitant when the coat arrived, but opened it up,
put it on and took one look in the mirror. This coat was NOT going back.
It looks amazing, feels amazing and is warm as toast. One last note, I went
to visit my brother and when I walked in the door he almost didn't even say
hi. Just took the coat off me and put it on himself. Many oohs and ahhs all
around. Enough said.

Upon first sliding my hands across the exterior leather I went into sensory overload. Anybody who examines this coat by touch will be awestricken. The exquisitely soft yet substantial/tough feel of the Kildare goatskin, by far, exceeded the impressions of the many other leather garments I have had physical contact with. Further, the attention to detail is excellent.
I would advise anybody who is serious about this coat to, for sure, try it on. The Jack Frosts I tried on were too short; so for a few hundred more they added 4" to the length and dialed in the other important measurements. Now I have a coat that fits like a dream. In my opinion the person(s) who designed this coat didn't just hit a homerun------that person hit a grand slam!
